Featured Project: Official North Carolina Travel Guide
Publishing Program
Since 1997, Journal Communications has partnered with the North Carolina Division of Tourism, Film and Sports Development to design an integrated publishing program to draw visitors to the state.
• Print: an annual print publication features original articles and photography to promote the
state’s many interesting attractions, accommodations, events and other important information
for travelers.
• Web: a varied assortment of feature videos complement the printed guide and are used on the
state’s official website – www.visitnc.com.
• Digital: a digital version of the travel guide is enhanced with videos, links and animation; a
German language mini version of the guide is also used on the visitnc.com website.
• Map: a pull-out map provides information for travelers and highlights nearly 100 wineries across the state.
