Featured Project: Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce
Site Highlights
Journal began working with the Kinston-Lenoir Chamber of Commerce on a chamber integrated publishing program in 2008. In 2010, Kinston became the third chamber to partner with Journal for design and development of the chamber of commerce website.
Chamber President Laura Lee Sylvester wanted the chamber website to be fresh and current and to have an energy that reflects the energy of the community. Laura Lee shared that Kinston had been overlooked by a company seeking to relocate to the region because when the company researched potential communities online, Kinston’s web presence wasn’t engaging enough to warrant a deeper look. She was determined that would not happen again.
“When my peers in the chamber world say they just re-did their websites and used Chambermaster or Weblink or others like that, I say, ‘I feel sorry for you.’ They are good at what they do, but they do not provide the design, content and quality provided by Journal Communications.”
– Laura Lee Sylvester, President Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce
