“And let’s not forget pictures…the still photograph imprints itself on the memory more than any moving image, especially when presented with confidence and drama across a spread that allows the image to breathe and the reader to pause and ponder.”
– Tina Brown, Newsweek and The Daily Beast Editor-in-Chief
Stunning, bold, original photography is our calling card. It’s what sets our company apart. It’s why we invested in hiring full-time seasoned staff photographers.
What makes our photography so great?
Our photography is authentic, “hand-crafted” and of the highest quality. We take a fresh approach to familiar subjects, always keeping the audience in mind.
We don’t make a practice of using models either. We want readers to see real people having real experiences. Our photographers are skilled at capturing those spontaneous moments that captivate the reader.
Our photographers are photojournalists. They spend several weeks researching, preparing and scouting locations so that they are able to capture the essence of a community, business or travel destination when shooting.
Experience matters. With more than 50 years combined experience, our photographers know the best times to shoot and the best ways to get images that make readers want to engage with the subject.
Our photographers are part of a team. One of the major advantages of having staff photographers is the collaboration between photographers and designers and editors before and during the production process to ensure the finished product is visually engaging.
